Who will be the Two
Witnesses of the last days?
Our research shows this to
be types and shadows of Moses and Elijah
Another good reseacher also makes a great case for it being Ezekiel and John the apostle.
This passage from Mark also
occurred during the fall feast of the Lord which is a time frame for the Lord's
second coming.
Second coming prophecy of
Messiah Yeshua from Isaiah 11:11-12
Isaiah 11:11 It shall come
to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time
To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From
Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea.
Isaiah 11:12 He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the
outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four
corners of the earth.
This passage from Mark also
occurred during the fall feast of the Lord which is the time frame for the
Lord's second coming.
Mark 9:4 during the time of
Sukkoth
Mark 9:4 And there appeared
unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Yeshua.
Mark 9:5 And Peter answered and said to Yeshua, Master, it is good for us to be
here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and
one for Elijah.
Why Moses and Elijah? Moses
represents the law and Elijah represents the prophets
Matthew 5:17 Think not that
I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but
to fulfill.
The Two Witnesses from
Revelation 11
Revelation 11:3 "And
I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand
two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands standing before
the God of the earth.
Revelation 11:5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth
and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed
in this manner.
Revelation 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the
days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood,
and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.
Revelation 11:7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of
the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.
Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city
which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
Revelation 11:9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will
see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to
be put into graves.
Revelation 11:10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make
merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those
who dwell on the earth.
Revelation 11:11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God
entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw
them.
Revelation 11:12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them,
"Come up here." And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and
their enemies saw them.
No rain reference from
Revelation 11:6
Revelation 11:6 These have
power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy;
and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth
with all plagues, as often as they desire.
We also see similar
passages about no rain
Luke 4:25 "But I tell you truly, many widows were in
Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six
months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land;
James 5:17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed
earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three
years and six months.
1Kings 8:35 "When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because
they have sinned against You, when they pray toward this place and confess
Your name, and turn from their sin because You afflict them,
2 Chronicles 7-17
2Chronicles 7:12Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him:
"I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house
of sacrifice.
2Chronicles 7:13"When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or
command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,
2Chronicles 7:14"if My people who are called by My name will humble
themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I
will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
2Chronicles 7:15"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer
made in this place.
2Chronicles 7:16"For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My
name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.
2Chronicles 7:17"As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David
walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My
statutes and My judgments
Zechariah 14:16-18
Zechariah 14:16And it shall
come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against
Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and
to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
Zechariah 14:17And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do
not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them
there will be no rain.
Zechariah 14:18If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they
shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD
strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
Zechariah 14:19This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of
all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
Part of why a no rain judgment vs. lots of rain.
Genesis 9:11 "Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all
flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a
flood to destroy the earth."
Genesis 9:12 And God said: "This is the sign of the covenant which I make
between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual
generations:
Genesis 9:13 "I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the
sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
The rainbow belongs to God
and it's His promise!
Son's of new oil
The two anointed ones, who
stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.
More insights about the Two
Witnesses
Revelation 11:4 These are
the two olive trees and the two lamp stands standing before the God of
the earth
Zechariah 4:3-14
Zechariah 4:3 "Two
olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its
left."
Zechariah 4:4 So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying,
"What are these, my lord?"
Zechariah 4:11Then I answered and said to him, "What are these two olive
trees—at the right of the lamp stand and at its left?"
Zechariah 4:12And I further answered and said to him, "What are these two
olive branches that drip into the receptacles of the two gold pipes from which
the golden oil drains?"
Zechariah 4:13 Then he answered me and said, "Do you not know what these
are?" And I said, "No, my lord."
Zechariah 4:14 So he said, "These are the two anointed ones, (son's
of new oil) who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth."
Other last days insights.
Judah and Ephraim / Prophecy of the two sticks becoming one before the Lord
Ezekiel 37:15Again the word
of the LORD came to me, saying,
Ezekiel 37:16"As for you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write
on it: 'For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions.' Then take

the house of Israel, his companions.'
Ezekiel 37:17"Then join them one to another for yourself into one stick,
and they will become one in your hand.
Ezekiel 37:18"And when the children of your people speak to you, saying,
'Will you not show us what you mean by these?'—
Ezekiel 37:19"say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Surely I will
take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of
Israel, his companions; and I will join them with it, with the stick of Judah,
and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand."'
Ezekiel 37:20"And the sticks on which you write will be in your hand before
their eyes.

will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have
gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land;

of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two
nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again.
Ezekiel 37:23"They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols,
nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I
will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and
will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

"THE
BREAKER" AND THE KING
Micah 2:13
The breaker goes up before them; They break out, pass through
the gate and go out by it. So their king goes on before them, And the LORD at
their head."
Elijah
Malachi 4:5 Behold, I
will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day
of the LORD:
Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the
heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with
a curse.
Here in Luke we read about
the Lord's calling upon John the Baptist before he was born.
Luke 1:11 And there
appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of altar of
incense.
Luke 1:12 And Zacharias was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him.
Luke 1:13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: because thy
supplication is heard, and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou
shalt call his name John.
Luke 1:14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his
birth.
Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and he shall drink no
wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from
his mother's womb.
Luke 1:16 And many of the children of Israel shall be turn unto the Lord their
God.
Luke 1:17 And he shall go before his face in the spirit and power of
Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the
disobedient to walk in the wisdom of the just; to make ready for the Lord a
people prepared for him.
Our Lord Jesus Christ even
called John the Baptist to be prophesized Elijah, this was for our Lord Jesus
first coming!
Matthew 11:12 And from the
days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and
the violent take it by force.
Matthew 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
Matthew 11:14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to
come.
Matthew 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Why
is this night like no other night!
This is a classic line
"as taught" during the Passover Seder dinner that EVERYONE is
commanded to keep!
Exodus 13:6 Seven days thou
shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the
LORD.
Exodus 13:7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no
leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee
in all thy quarters.
Exodus 13:8 And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done
because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.
Exodus 13:9 And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a
memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD'S law may be in thy mouth: for with a
strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.
Exodus 13:10 Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year
to year.
The telling of the
Haggadah during the Passover Seder
The word Haggadah comes
from the Torah command - "And you shall tell (v'Higadeta)
your children on that day..."
Which is the story of the
Exodus and the ritual of the Seder, read at the Passover Seder.
Our Lord Jesus kept the
Passover Seder and taught and shared this story at His Passover Seder and
preformed the ceremonial washing.
You can read about Jesus
performing the ceremonial washing in John 13
You can look at Egypt as
being a type or shadow "as the pagan world" and the Lord's plan of
redemption, through His blood we are set free for those look upon Him for
deliverance and Salvation!
I bring this up because
there is a teaching reference to Elijah during the course of the Passover Seder
dinner!
The "cup
of Elijah" is known as the 5th cup!
